During this school year, the number of returned checks has been on the rise.  Up until this point the Food Service Department had not passed on bank service fees for returned checks.  Unfortunately this will need to change.

New Changes effective January 1, 2011:

  • A service fee of $15.00 will be reflected on the student's account (that the check was credited to) along with the amount of the returned check.
  • Checks will no longer be accepted from households who have two returned checks during the same school year.

Please make note of these changes and pass this information along in your school news letter.
