School Site Council (SSC)Top of Page

The SSC is composed of parents, teachers, and students.  The SSC oversees a sizable budget and is involved in reviewing and making recommendations in areas that directly affect student learning.

The GEMS SSC is composed of 10 voting members (5 parents/community members and 5 school members).  All parents and school personnel are welcome at SSC meetings.

Parents may choose to participate as a regular member of the SSC or participate only in areas of interest.

We are looking for school site council members for the 18-19 school year. We have one term that will last a year and three others that will last for three years. If you are interested please fill the form out and turn it in to the office no later than 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday August 29th. We will hold elections at Back to School Night on August 30th. This is a great opportunity to be involved in your child's education.
