We NEED YOU for School Site Council 20-21!!

We need three parents who would be willing to serve on the School Site Council.
What is the School Site Council?
It is a group of students, staff, and parents who make financial decisions for our school. They also help plan activities and events and give feedback on the quality of our programs.
How often does the School Site Council meet?
We meet roughly once a month for an hour after school. The meetings will be held virtually until we are allowed to have our school reopen.
What do I have to do to be considered?
Fill out the link below that tells us a little about yourself. We will send out a vote next Friday and those that have the top three votes will be a part of the team. Please consider helping serve as a member.

Purpose & Membership:

The SSC is composed of parents, teachers, and students.  The SSC oversees a sizable budget and is involved in reviewing and making recommendations in areas that directly affect student learning.

The GEMS SSC is composed of 10 voting members (5 parents/community members and 5 school members).  All parents and school personnel are welcome at SSC meetings.

Parents may choose to participate as a regular member of the SSC or participate only in areas of interest.
