We are continuing our SPECIAL EARLY RELEASE schedule dismissing at 12:30 the remainder of the week.  Please make sure your parents know that school will get out at 12:30.

 

Next week is Thanksgiving Break.  There will be no school and we will return on Early Release Schedule Monday November 26th.

 

Keep collecting cans!! The first period class with the most canned food items donated will win a pizza party!!  Only 2 Fridays left for collecting 11/16 & 11/30!  Thank you from Leadership!!!

 

Tomorrow Thursday November 15th from 2-8pm is the 5th Annual Lincoln Firefighters' Turkey Drive.  If you want to donate a frozen turkey you can pull into the firehouse on the corner of First and Joiner.  All Turkeys go to local families in need.  GEMS Leadership class will be there again this year volunteering their time to help with this great community service event.

 

From the Sports Desk: 

8th grade boys improved to 1-1 in league last night with a 12 point win vs WC Riles.  Tristan and Beni led the way with Dakota and Kyle coming up with big shots.  The 7th grade boys improved to 2-0 and won a thriller 63-61 in the final seconds of the game.  James dominated with 32 points while Chase had 14 and Kenny had 13.

Begins at 4pm  ***First 200 students will receive a free WHITE OUT SHIRT!

 

Due to parent conferences and Thanksgiving, our next Roller Hockey game will be November 29th.  Have a great Thanksgiving!

 

All boys and girls interested in playing volleyball, we will have an open gym at the Lincoln Community Center on Nov. 27 between 3-5 PM.  Come by room 18 to sign up with Mr. Luci

 

Wrestling season is fast approaching!!  If you are interested in Wrestling for the GEMS Championship Wrestling Team start working on completing your athletic packet now.  Practice begins December 1st and you will not be allowed to participate without your paperwork on file beforehand.  Any questions see Mr. Colson TODAY! 

 

All 6th, 7th and 8th grade girls come out to play some softball on Mondays from 1:45-3:30.  We are in need of some pitchers.  Thanks Coach Agrippino, Coach Nevarez, and Coach Banderas.
