Kindness/Valentine spirit and activity days are coming up soon. Stay tuned her to GEMS TV for more information.

 

Kindness/Valentine grams are going on sale Monday 2/3, Tuesday 2/4, and Wednesday 2/5 during lunches and will be delivered Friday 2/7 to first period classes. Start thinking now about which student and/or staff member you would like to send one to and make sure you know their first period teacher. Each gram will be $2, and to see an example make sure to follow @gems.activities on Instagram.

 

Mark your calendars now for our next dance. Friday, February 7th! Hearts and Arrows Dance! Tickets will go on sale during lunches the week of February 3rd. The dance will be 3:30-5:30 pm here at GEMS in the spirit center. All school rules apply while at a school event. Tickets will be $5 and will require a parent signature on the ticket to enter. Tickets will not be sold at the door.

 

Spirit Day is tomorrow! Be sure to wear your GEMS or Lincoln attire, or maroon and black. Remember black alone does not count as our GEMS school spirit! Which class will have the most spirit for this week? Lets show the whole town that GEMS has the most spirit in the school district.

 

Attention 8th Grade Students: Remind your parents there is a Parent Promotion Dance Committee Meeting this coming Monday in the GEMS Staff Room at 5:30pm. This is your last Middle School Event and it is planned by your parents. We need them to be involved so it can be the best dance ever!! Make sure they SAVE THE DATE!!!

Mark your calendars now for our next GEMS spirit game! February 20th at the Community Center will be our GEMS PINK OUT! Start planning your best pink outfit to come cheer on our Girls Basketball teams. More information to come here on GEMS TV.

 

All interested in playing and working on your volleyball skills, there will be skill building night on January 29th in the Spirit Center from 5:30-7:00pm. All are welcome. Come by room 14 to sign up. See you there!!

 

All 7th and 8th grade girls interested in playing softball start thinking about playing for GEMS. We will have tryouts the first week in March. The season goes through March and April. Athletes will need a glove and cleats for the season. Softball is a great sport and we look forward to seeing lots of girls out at tryouts. Thanks Coach Banderas, Coach Agrippino, and Coach Nevarez.
