Science
All science classes include hands-on investigation and experimentation. All classes meet the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) for Grades 6-8.
6TH GRADE SCIENCE
In 6th grade students will explore all that Earth has to offer and problem-solve real-world issues we are facing today. Students will use the scientific method to break down ideas and experiment with different designs to learn how they can contribute to our ecosystem. They will also learn about plants and animals, what they contribute to our amazing world, and how human beings can help save our planet.
7TH GRADE SCIENCE
Seventh grade science combines life, earth, and physical science concepts into a single, interconnected course. This approach emphasizes the relationships between different scientific fields and how they relate to the world around us. Students will explore topics like the structure and properties of matter, chemical reactions, the flow of energy, and Earth's systems. The class incorporates exposure to hands-on experimentation, including mini worm farms and an Ecosystem Expo.
8TH GRADE SCIENCE
Eighth Grade Science is a hands-on, inquiry-based course aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Students will explore topics in physical science, life science, Earth and space science, and engineering design. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking, scientific reasoning, and real-world applications.
