Science

All science classes include hands-on investigation and experimentation. All classes meet the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) for Grades 6-8.

6TH GRADE SCIENCE

Sixth grade science focuses on Earth Sciences, including plate tectonics and the earth's structure, thermal energy, energy in the earth system, and ecology, with investigation and experimentation.

7TH GRADE SCIENCE

Seventh grade science focuses on Life Sciences, including cell biology, genetics, evolution, earth and life history, structure and function in living systems, and physical principles in living systems. The class incorporates exposure to hands-on experimentation, including the microscope and dissections.

8TH GRADE SCIENCE

Eighth grade science focuses on Physical Sciences, including motion, forces, structure of matter, the Solar System, matter, chemistry of living systems, density and buoyancy, and the period table, with scientific investigation and experimentation.
