Welcome Back, Glen Edwards Middle School Panthers!
I hope this message finds you well and filled with excitement for the 23-24 school year. As we embark on this journey together, I am thrilled to share the myriad opportunities and programs awaiting our students at Glen Edwards Middle School.
At Glen Edwards, we take great pride in offering a diverse range of programs designed to cater to the unique interests and talents of our students. Whether it's participating in AVID, exploring the arts, delving into computer technology, showcasing leadership skills, embracing the world of music, or engaging in broadcasting, our Panthers have a wealth of options beyond our already robust core curriculum.
We understand that each student's journey is unique, and that's why we've established designated supports to ensure everyone has the tools they need to succeed. From English Language Development classes to our Learning Center and after-school tutoring, we are committed to providing additional support for those who may need it.
One of the exciting partnerships we have is with PCOE to bring a Wellness Center to our campus. This safe space is dedicated to helping students navigate social-emotional challenges, offering a respite when needed or suggested by a teacher. Our goal is to foster an environment where students feel supported in every aspect of their academic, emotional, and social growth.
Glen Edwards Middle School thrives on positive relationships among students, staff, and the community. We are devoted to creating an atmosphere of high expectations that allows everyone to flourish. Our dedicated staff is committed to helping students develop positive, productive, and professional skills that will serve them well throughout their time here with us.
Participation in extracurricular activities is strongly encouraged, whether through athletics, dances, or joining one of our diverse clubs. These activities play a crucial role in building lasting relationships and creating a sense of community among our Panthers.
We also value our partnerships with parents. Through forums such as the English Learners Advisory Committee (ELAC), School Site Council, and the Association of Parents, Teachers, and Students, we aim to increase parent involvement and collaboration in their child's educational journey.
Communication is key to our success at Glen Edwards, and we make it a priority to keep our families informed. Look out for our monthly newsletter, sent every first Friday of the month, containing important information for the upcoming weeks.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to me via email or by calling the office. We are here to support you and your student every step of the way.
