Michael Bose, Principal
24/25 Message
Greetings Glen Edwards Middle School Panthers,
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Michael Bose, and I am honored to be the new principal at Glen Edwards Middle School. While I am new to Lincoln, I have over twenty years of experience working in education, mostly at the middle school level. Over the course of my career, I have worked as a teacher, dean, instructional coach, grant coordinator, intervention specialist and site administrator.
As an educational leader, I believe in building and maintaining a collaborative learning environment with high expectations. Staff, parent and community involvement are necessary to create a positive and supportive culture to promote academic and social success.
I am eager and excited to get to know my students, staff and families as we begin our journey to educational excellence. As we begin this new school year, I would like to share with you some of the things I would like to make a priority for myself and GEMS.
- Maintain a Safe and Inviting Learning Environment
- Establish Open Communication
- Ensure Pathways to Success for all Panthers
I would once again state my excitement in joining the Panther family and look forward to meeting with each of you.
Please feel free to reach out to me at mbose@wpusd.org.

Jessica Fernandez, Assistant Principal
I am delighted to welcome you to another exciting school year at Glen Edwards Middle School! As the Assistant Principal, I bring with me 15 years of experience in education, including 13 wonderful years here at GEMS. It has been a privilege to work alongside our dedicated staff, enthusiastic students, and supportive parents, all of whom contribute to making our school a thriving learning environment.
At GEMS, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and engaging educational experience for all students. Our goal is to support each student in achieving their fullest potential academically, socially, and emotionally. We believe in cultivating a community where every student feels valued and inspired to learn.
As we embark on this new school year, I encourage open communication and collaboration between parents, teachers, and students. Together, we can ensure that GEMS continues to be a place where excellence in education is not just a goal, but a daily practice.
Thank you for your continued support and dedication to our school community. I look forward to another successful year at Glen Edwards Middle School!
